Jaw Crusher

Gyratory Crusher

Unlike jaw crushers, gyratory crushers use a cone-shaped head that gyrates within a bowl-shaped outer shell. This design allows them to crush rock and ore more efficiently, but they are not as well suited to fine crushing as cone crushers.
The gyratory crusher is made of a heavy cast-iron or steel frame with a conical crushing chamber lined with wear-resistant plates (concaves). It has a central shaft that drives the head center and mantle, which straddles the chamber. A machined spider journal supports the shaft at its top and allows a degree of vertical adjustment of the assembly.
A gyratory crusher's size and capacity are determined by its ability to handle large feed sizes, a balanced relationship between speed and eccentricity, and a deep, properly curved crushing chamber. A gyratory crusher's flexibility also permits compensation for wear and assures product uniformity.
Cone Crusher

The closed side setting (CSS) of a cone crusher determines the size of your final product, how much material it can crush and how much energy it requires to operate. Optimal closed side settings can significantly increase productivity and efficiency, but require time to engineer and test. It is a good idea to sample throughout the crushing process to ensure that the closed side settings are optimal for your raw material.
Screener
