Weir positioning on both sand screws and bucket wheels can also be adjusted to increase the amount of dewatering by moving the weirs lower in the unit.

The Fine Material Screw Washer is a piece of equipment that accepts a dry feed from a conveyor, or wet slurry of material and water from a Vibrating Screen, Sand Classifying Tank or Hydrosizer(tm). A screw washing system must be properly sized for both the amount of solids to be processed and the volume of water in the feed slurry, failure to review these parameters can result in an improper machine size.
